Kazuo Aoki

Mr. Aoki is a patent scientist in our Orange County office. His practice includes patent prosecution of domestic and foreign patents in computer systems, networking/communication, storage system, e-commerce, software, and semiconductors.  He also has experience in litigation support, patent reexamination proceedings, and due diligence review for merger and acquisition transaction with an emphasis on patent portfolio management and strategy.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked for over three years as a patent agent for a law firm in Palo Alto, CA.  Before entering his patent prosecution career, Mr. Aoki was an engineering manager in microprocessor design at Hitachi Semiconductor America and later on at Renesas Technology Co. in Tokyo Japan.  He started his engineering career as a design engineer for Hitachi where he did hands on design of memory devices and ASIC products.

Mr. Aoki joined the firm in 2012.
